Holy Family - News, Prayers & More
"Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw Him go into heaven."
This Sunday, we celebrate the Ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ into heaven where he sits at the right hand of God the Father for all eternity.
The Ascension is the conclusion of Jesus’ earthly life and the Paschal Mystery: Passion, Death, Resurrection, and Ascension into heaven.
When Jesus ascended into heaven, he brought his human nature, and our human nature into heaven with him. By bringing his glorified human body and human soul with him, he opened paradise for the human family. The Second Person of the Holy Trinity sits at the right hand of God the Father for all eternity interceding on our behalf.
This is the amazing lesson of the Ascension. It holds the very essence of our Christian faith, the dignity of the human being, and the life available to us after death.
This was the
novena of the Church!
It commemorates the nine days between the
Ascension of Our Lord and the descent of the Holy Spirit on the first Pentecost Sunday. During this time, our Mother Mary and the Apostles prayed in the upper room for the coming of the

A Memorial Day Blessing
From Father Tom
God of all creation,
Through you the entire universe came into being,
You give life to every person in the world and called them all to yourself as your children.
Unite all your people, and help us to always live in peace.
Be with us as we remember those who sacrificed for our country and the freedoms we share.
May we always cherish those freedoms you have given us.
May peace always prevail, so that war may never touch our families again.
Bless everyone reading this today, especially as we remember our parents, grandparents, children, brothers, sisters, and friends who gave their all for our country.
We ask you to show your goodness, grace and boundless love now and forever, Amen.
The Faith Formation Team would like to offer a prayer of
to our Catechists, Catechist Aides, Hallway Monitors, and Substitute Catechists who are vital to the Faith Formation program.
We thank you
for sending us this group of talented
who boldly proclaim their faith to your flock.
They willingly gave their time in service to you without counting the cost.
We ask you to protect them and guide them wherever they journey this summer.
Please kindle the fire that burns within their hearts for you, oh Lord,
And see them through any trials or tribulations they face.
Grant this through Christ our Lord.
